This website is about the origin story and gendered differences of the traditional Samoan Tatau. It will show the process of getting the Tatau and who in the Samoan community is involved in that process. A great coming of age story that gets written on skin. This site will show the differences between a male and female Tatau, the pe'a and malu and what it means to get tattooed. Some of the photos included will show the tools, symbols, and the different pe'a and malu tatau.
